Re: Jason's Workout Log
It's been minute since I have been on here to post. I am still training my 5 days a week and enjoying it quite a bit. Did a nice training cycle post open with some upper push and pull in there and qualified for a Masters competition in Vancouver end of July (CanWest Games but I am not going).
A few weeks ago strained my left lat so am currently working that back into health over the next several weeks. Been back building up squats again and doing some moderate Oly lifting. Last week Tuesday marked the start f ten consecutive years of doing "Crossfit" so that is pretty cool. Also in another month I will have been working with Mike F for five straight years. Which is a long time to work with anyone consistently is what I would think. All is going well and I am continuing to make small steps each day and week. See how my body holds up and if I decide to do anymore competing. May come back and fill the voids on my training log today with what I have been up to and then it might be fitting to shut it down after nine years. Canada Day 2009 was my first post on here. But who knows, maybe I will run it up to ten years and then close things off. I track all my stuff separately now too. |

Re: Jason's Workout Log
Wow, I rarely come on here anymore and it looks like less a couple folks posting into their workout logs I'm not the only one.
New year and I'm still trucking along. At 43 not a lot of big weights are moving anymore but I'm still training and moving well. Happy about that. Best of 2020 to anyone who still logs in here |

Re: Jason's Workout Log
Well, this is so bizarre.
2020 has been a crazy year and not just because of COVID, the BLM movement and now all the nonsense at Crossfit. I lost my job mid-February, luckily found a new one relatively close to where we are currently. But we've sold our house and are moving in a couple weeks again. Not what I would have dreamed up after my last post but it happens It's time for another new chapter in our life to begin I just made 11 years since I started my log. I'll be back to my regular 5 days a week again soon what a crazy 6 months |

Re: Jason's Workout Log
Wow, I come on here every once in a while to see where things are at. It blows my mind that there are now 19 active members on here.
I guess as the saying goes, the only thing in life you can guarantee is change. I am so happy I won my own gym at home and I've been able to keep training through the whole pandemic. I am no history buff by any stretch but I know that throughout time there have been various different versions of this. First time in most everyone's life I'm sure. I guess the best is to keep your immune system and health in general tip top and that is what I have been doing. I sure hope they never shut this down. I enjoy logging in from time to time and looking back at old posts. |

Re: Jason's Workout Log
Hey Jason, ya I enjoy coming back here once in a while too. Brings back a lot of memories. There was a good couple years where this forum was hopping and we were all posting in each others logs.
I was following mainsite, then my own thing for a bit, then outlaw. Those were the days. There's almost a nostalgic sadness looking back at it; what a time it was. While some of my recent training years have seen me surpass old strength numbers from those days I have never come close to being as fit as I was. It's been an insane year. One for the history books for sure. Glad to hear you're keeping safe and that you found work; those are two luxuries not available to everyone these days. I've been lucky to have a really good job that's allowed me to never miss a day yet. I just started a log on dan john's forum over at dave draper. There's a good little community there; lots of guys with 'life' happening, not just gym stuff. It's a very moderate approach to fitness and health. Long gone are the days of high intensity training. Sometimes I wonder if I broke something in myself from all those years of pushing. I've tried a few times to get back into crossfit in some form but burnout comes really quickly after. But... it's still fun to look back on. We sure had some fun! |
