Krav maga in ufc or pride?

My background is in bjj and am curious there are any krav maga guys in the ufc or pride?

Their not pure Krav Maga but I belief Carlos Newton and Bas Rutten both do Krav

Great example of why we shouldn't let kids on the internet alone. :haha:I won't go into all the holes in the logic in this but it's laughable. On top of that, not even one example of Krav Maga.

Kevin what you saw there was a poor attempt of self defense. Not once did I see any aggressive action. Aggression non-stop combatives, that's Krav Maga.

Not sure what to think of the video to be honest, but some questions about Krav (I know nothing of Krav Maga).

What kind of strikes are taught, and what kind of grappling techniques are taught (is it similar to Muay Thai and BJJ)? Also, in the video it *shows* (it might not even be Krav) two guys sparring with helmets on. My instructor teaches Muay Thai (I start next week), and he spars in the gym with pads on his legs and MMA gloves, but he definitely doesn't wear a helmet.

the guys in helmets are from straight blast gym, which is all about what matt thornton calls "aliveness" - so they try to make the scenarios and sparring as realistic as possible, i.e. trying to beat the •••• out of each other, which necessitates a lot of protective gear if you plan on doing it with any regularity.
