Press 1RM (5lbs shy of BW)

160lb x1 @ a BW of 165.4 as of this morning

Congrats, looked good. I think you coulda pushed BW easy.

I think so too! I was probably too taxed because I had originally gone for 155lb, made it, then tried the 160lb and made it. then went for 165, failed, then 162.5 and failed again.

I think if I had went straight for 165 w/o all the extra sets, I'd have made it!

hmm, I'm not sure exactly. The press has always been the one lift that I've always been good at. Every now and then I practice full ROM hspu's. I can only get a few in at a time but maybe that helped? One thing that would probably be a contributing factor is what Arturo suggested about not using the stretch reflex when doing sets of multiple reps.
