You're in bed, on the verge of sleep, and for some reason your legs decide to kick out like you're doing a box jump. Yesterday morning I did my first 20" box jumps (small potatoes to most of you, but an accomplishment for me). I guess I was so thrilled that I subconsciously wanted to do more last night.

While on a hike with my aunt & we came to a pretty steep incline. My first thoughts were that I could a)run up the slope to get it finished faster, or b)fill my backpack with rocks to make it harder...

When I mentioned this to my aunt she looked at me, shook her head, and said "You do too much CrossFit..."

It's actually a phenomenon where your brain thinks as your body drifts off to sleep that it's dying. It sends an impulse to your body that acts like a set of defibrillators, to try and "jump" you back into life. But still, congratulations on your accomplishment!

Never worry about comparing yourself to others, your PR is your PR and worth a for sure! Use it as motivation for a 24" box jump!

So my very first pair of oly shoes (rogues) arrived in the mail tonight. I've tried them on then found myself, still in my work gear (business attire), practicing air powercleans and air squat snatches. I wonder what my housemates would say if they saw.
