Re: What type of Weight Lifting Shoe?

The model name is Romaleo so do some searching around to find someone who sells them.

PAul was involved in their develoment...and from what he told me at the USAW/Crossfit Open, I don't believe they are "old stock".

Got mine delivered to Australia from Athlete Performance Solutions. Very good service. Had lots of sizes. Recommended.

Andrew these are not NOS or leftovers from 2008. There was never a large surplus in 2008, hence why no one has had stock of them for 2 years. These were made for Rogue earlier this year.

Re: What type of Weight Lifting Shoe?

Interesting. I by no means plan on entering any kind of competition, I plan on just using them for Crossfit (strength day olympic lifts), and Starting Strength (just started 2 weeks ago). The Nike Romaleos seems pricy, what do you guys think of the 2010 Rogue Weight Lifting Shoe? Or a year or 2 from now will I regret not getting the nike's?

Re: What type of Weight Lifting Shoe?

I have a pair of 2010 pendlay do wins. Made by hand in China so quality control is an issue, however mine are faultless. I'm usually a UK size 10.5, went for a 9.5 and couldn't have got a better fit. They are great for wide feet. Squatted and Olympic lifted in them and they were amazing. They feel very wide and stable on big lifts. Rogues look amazing in black but I prefer plether to suede for fear of the material stretching over time. Nike's look too sporty for me. Do-wins have a more rough old school look.

Re: What type of Weight Lifting Shoe?

The Nikes are expensive. The Rogue's are a good shoe (I haven't actually used them but many good reviews on-line). Do-Wins in general are good but don't be afraid to send them back if they aren't perfect as some have experience quality control issues.
