Re: rank WOD's for qualifiers

I had the "luck" to participate in two regionals, one being the Great Basin and the other LCQ. My ranking in order of difficluty is as follows;

1. GB wod #3 Run 800, 3 rounds of 10 cleans @155, 20 CTB, 30 BJ @ 30' then another 800m run.

2. 10-1 LCQ that rep scheme is simply a mind F**K

3. GB wod #2 5 rounds, 7 DL@ 275, 30 air squats, 7 hspu. Even if i could have done the HSPU like a competent adult that wod was still tough!

4. LCQ Jackie.

5. GB wod 1 Snatchs at 135 and 70lb sandbag runs

6. LCQ DL DU

Something that must be considered here is the elevation that the GB was held in. Something like 7000 feet. That altitude doesnt seem to play much role in short wods but once you start approaching 15 minutes and greater its like wearing a REALLY tight weighted vest....

That 21-15-9 that was mentioned of DL and CTB sounds horrible in many ways. Im sure there was some UUGGGLLLYYYY reps at that qualifier!

Sorry about that, here is the new and improved version. Northeast and Iceland WODs added. I also highlighted the Last Chance Qualifier WODs in blue.

Once again, let me know if I need to tweak the file again, I'll be happy to...

Congrats on completing some brutal workouts under scrutiny. Keep the training up and maybe we'll meet in Aromas next year!

Re: rank WOD's for qualifiers

did the great basin wod on thursday

7 deadlift 275
30 air squats
7 hspu
5 rounds for time

time 5:51

wowcouldn't believe how challenging the air squats got and the hspu ended up being i nice "break". thought i'd try to keep up with mr. spealler and I am still paying the price!

10-1 pc/ctb pull-up/swing was more of a mind *****, but this one definitely hurt better the next day...

Re: rank WOD's for qualifiers

Dave, you are the man.
So i just looked at all the qualifier WODS and this is my opinion...
they all look tough but i think a lot of them were just someone showing off their cajones. some were pretty unnecessary IMO.
love the DL/DU workout tho
