Re: Crossfit Tattoos

Our logo is designed to look like a tattoo. We have it on t-shirts and temporary tattoos. No one has gotten it done for real yet -- whoever does gets a lifetime membership at our CrossFit box!

It is modeled after a Thai garuda, swinging a kettlebell.

Re: Crossfit Tattoos

been considering this and thought id resurrect an old thread rather then start a new one.....

any new ideas or tattoos by anyone?

ive only been crossfitting for 3months but am gripped and really love it.
ive always been involved in fitness as have been a pt since I was 18yrs (so 13 years now), so a fitness related tattoo is not necessarily a new idea to me

was considering the phrase constantly varied high intensity function movements.... in list form with some silhouettes of the major movements like kb swings, squats, presses, snatches etc forming a circle around them!

what do you guys think as an idea?

My advice is to re-think your decision.

Love waxes and wanes, but a tattoo is forever.

Re: Crossfit Tattoos

Just read the old thread and it's interesting what different people think of tattoos. For me personally, a tattoo represents a time or person/persons in my life. That time or person doesn't have to be their forever, it or they just have to be important enough that I would like to remember what it felt like for the rest of my life.
Now, I do prefer well done tattoos but even a really crappy tattoo can have lots of meaning and be special. My personal advice, and what I have done and am happy with is to start out by only getting tattoos that can easily be covered with clothing. If you're getting a tattoo for yourself it shouldn't matter much if others see it. After a while if you like living with tattoos start branching out to more visible placements. If it's your first tattoo and you decide to get it on your forearm, ask yourself "do I really want a tattoo or do I want an accessory?" because that's what that is. Avoid fads, avoid brand names/logos but something CrossFit related is totally acceptable if it's a big part of your life and something that you want to be able to look back and remember fondly.

Finally, don't call them "tats". No one likes that!

Isn't crossfit a brand?

My girl calls them tats, and she has a chest piece, her entire left rib cage, and whole hip done, as well as some others. She usually does say "ink" though. Can't win with you all, I tell you.

Re: Crossfit Tattoos

I love my tatoos, Tats, Ink, Ta Moko, Mantra's or scripts.

They all have meaning to me, they are original designs that no one else will have or be able to get. Maybe something similar but but not the same.

I only have one rule for myself. When wearing a strapless dress there are to be no visible Tattoos on the top half. eg Neck, top of back, arms.

It's "MY" rule for "ME" because I think in a crowed room its hard to find one that is bare skinned.
