Fustrated

Frustrated ** (haha)

So I recentley finished an Army school and was around 180 lbs about 3 weeks ago. Since its end my nutrition has stayed the same and I am hitting up a CF gym 5 x a week. However, I am putting on weight like crazy. In three weeks I have shot up to 196 lbs. I know I have gained some muscle mass back from the army course I have just done, but obviously not 15 lbs. The weird thing is though, I don't see much change in my body so where is this weight coming from?

Re: Fustrated

It could be water weight combined with some muscular gain. A gallon of water alone weighs a little more than 8lbs I believe, so include how much you've drank in the recently day in your guesstimate as well.

But if you truly believe you're putting on a significant amount of weight look into what you're eating. Weight gain/loss is almost exclusively decided via food. Activity can help, but if you're trying to lose weight and eating like crap then you'll find it hard, even doing CF 5x a week

Re: Fustrated

I drink a gallon of water a day, but I did this before too. I know I have a terrible diet because I eat healthy, but don't eat alot (weird I know). The thing that is fustrating is that my activity level really hasn't changed much and my food intake, but who knows. My performace at our Box is real good, but it just doesn't sit well that I've been gaining this much weight. The only thing that it might be due to is creatine? Any thoughts about this... (I know it can store some water weight, but 15 lbs seems like alot)

What did the Army school involve? If your activity level dropped while your diet stayed the same, yeah, you'd put on weight. You'd also add weight if you were pushing the limits of your ability to recover, and then stopped.

Re: Fustrated

I guess my activity has gone down, but it seems like so much weight to be put on in only 3 weeks. I am still running and doing CF every day. It is just really discouraging. It is almost like my body was in starvation mode from this course and whatever I eat now is just being stored as fat, but honestly I don't feel like I look 196... I mean my performace is doing well at my box, but I am afraid that my running will suffer due to all the weight!

Re: Fustrated

I suppose there are a few more questions.
a.) Do you look like you're gaining fat?
b.) Is it affecting your performance?

Re: Fustrated

A.) Just a little I suppose. It would be stupid to say no after gaining 15
B.) No not at all.

Re: Fustrated

If you're not getting fat and you're performing well, what's the problem again?
