New to Olympia, but not to crossfit. Living in the Cooper Point area on the west side and looking for one or two dedicated garage rats to workout with. I'm not a mutant, just a crossfit mortal looking for motivation and inspiration while getting back into a regular routine. Early morning or later in the evening, and weekends, will probably be best. I have a good set of equipment and enough space for a couple/few people. I've also been trail running the Capital Forest if anyone's interested, especially longer runs on the weekends. Thanks for taking the time, Craig.

Re: Olympia, WA

FYI to anyone in the West Olympia, WA area: Found a great place to crossfit outside. Mclane Elementary School has adult size playground/workout stations inside a .17 mile bark/dirt track (6 laps = 1.02 mile). Parking is right next to the track so getting equipment in is easy. Look for it off Mud Bay Road and Evergreen Parkway.

Ended up going solo on "Murph" today, 09/11/10. 1:12 as Rx'd with a 20# ruck. Done it several times but never as Rx'd. Good stuff.

I'm on the North of Olympia......when you said adult park does that mean pull up bars and a place to set up some rings?

Re: Olympia, WA

Dominic, there's plenty of pull-up bars and even mounted metal rings for pull-ups, but the rings don't have any clearance above them. There are other structures you can hang your own rings on. It's worth checking out.

Across the street is a new 5 story training tower that the fire department owns, haven't found the right person to give the OK to use it for WO's yet. I'll follow up on that when I get a chance.
