look well thought out. How is this working though? Is this CrossFit? How is this not like Gym Jones or Undeground Strength offering certs and affiliation?

I like how he requires Level ONE cert attendees to have coached for a full year before attending the cert.

Quality Control. Protect the brand.

Yeah, I just saw this on another blog.

Looks interesting, but quite expensive.

It having a business management section is very interesting.

Last I remember GJ doesn't offer a cert but it's a 2 day seminar ringing in at $1800. An online acquaintance was looking at it the other day and talking about it.

If recent events are any indication, either his cert or his affiliation will have to go soon. I wonder which one he'll choose. Hmmmm. Who needs who more.

I think that the recent development states that if he makes disparaging remarks about CrossFit during his cert, then he will have consequences... It doesn't seem like James is the type of person to do that, he has built a lot of strong athletes using CrossFit methods, CrossFit has given him a huge community that he seems very fond of being a part of. If you saw "Every Second Counts" you saw just how humbled James is to be a part of the community.

Keep in mind, it doesn't seem that HQ is saying "don't make money." Otherwise Petranek and a bunch of other folks that have been hosting certifications on any number of topics would have to decide how to fit in. What they are saying is if you wish to remain a part of CrossFit and make money advertising CrossFit, please don't openly bash CrossFit, it's methodology or it's staff...

So the threshold is disparaging remarks about CrossFit? I understand Petranek's seminar is about being a sucesful CF affiliate. I have seen allot of people offering nutritional and olympic lifting "mini" seminars for profit, and I get this. If I get an Underground Strength certification and affiliation, where is CrossFit? You can't ride 2 horses with only one ***.
