Re: Did a no-no at Planet Fitness

At my work gym, there's a sign that says swearing/ grunting/ loudness are rude and offensive; but it doesn't say anything about not doing them.

Haven't had anyone complain yet.

Re: Did a no-no at Planet Fitness

There's a gym in Colorado called the anti-gym that popped up fairly recently with some ads that are almost the exactly opposite of PF and curves. There commercial had a fat girl sitting on a couch while her hot skinny friend was going out. Then some guy busted through the fridge and said something like STOP BEING A FATTY.

I'm wondering how their doing membership-wise.

Oh yeah, here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8j-q63MYghU (kinda WFS just pretty mean).

And another: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZuQM7K7ERc&NR=1 (same mean but WFS)

Re: Did a no-no at Planet Fitness

There was a sign at the Y in my hometown where I used to train. It said something like "Screaming, grunting, making noise and being intense are all apart of training. But this is a Christian facility and we will not tolerate swearing."

I loved that sign. Make all the noise you want (because if you get annoying, the big guy in the corner will shut you up) just don't swear. And no one did.

Matt, thankyou.

Unfortunately, I swear a lot. When you play baseball, you learn to swear well at an early age.

Why did you even go to the gym? You can do that WOD in your living room.

All PF's have a pizza night... I just read this on their site

"Pizza Nights (the first Monday of every month) We go through 3000 pizzas. That's 24000 slices per year!"

still

That is completely ridiculous! Even at my school fitness center we can more then half of the rules listed there (guys stare at the girls but we can't swear or use cell phones or the clothing part because well it is a school) and even the fitness teachers encourage us to cheer each other on and spot/encourage each other during lifts!
