I know theres the crossfit gym up in longwood but does anyone crossfit anywhere else around orlando? I'm in south Orlando where you can't "Slam weights" at gyms and get asked "not to deadlift"...Bout to start my own home gym as a result...

Matt I am in Deland on the opposite side of Longwood. But I work out with Leo and Monique as often as I can. I highly recommend them. In fact I think they have a Workout in the Park this weekend at a park in Lake Mary. I know it isn't right around the corner but check it out if you can. I plan on being there.

I live in DeLand also, but work down in ORL. I go to LA Fitness (only because my organization pays for it) over on OBT (and once in a while at Waterford Lakes). I've never had anyone give me static over an exercise or routine. Worst thats happened is that someone sneaks in on my thruster bar while I'm off doing pull-ups or something. I just quickly set up another one.

Places like that kill me, though. There is no talc powder around, but people can leave their empty water bottles and weights all over the place. And there will be 40 people in there at any given time, and I'll be the only one dripping sweat and sucking air. Too funny.

I don't know how far you are from Longwood but it would definitely be worth a little drive to train with Leo and Monique. You should at least check it out and I guarantee you won't be asked "not to deadlift." In fact, I actually think it's encouraged there.
