Ok Aussie folks, here it is, the date for the inaugural Crossfit Australia workout,

"Suffer in Sydney"

Saturday 17th of September 0830 for 1 hour (approx) workout followed by BBQ breakfast.

Location - My garage gym, Doncaster road Randwick, Sydney. (exact address in later post)

Cost is $10 to cover breakfast with any extra cash going towards buying more equipment for future workouts and setting up a dedicated Crossfit Aus website.

Please email me at fitness@octogen.com.au if you want to come and please feel free to invite your friends and family (particularly the ones you don't really like:biggrin:)

And in the finest tradition of start up affiliates i've created a Crossfit Australia Blog for recording our efforts and posting workouts etc.

Hey Fiona, yeah that would be cool although i'm not sure if we'll have a place to put them. Bring them anyway and we'll find a tree to throw them over.

I'm still working out the logistics of setting up the gym as we are not moving in until the 3rd of Sept

Arggghhh... you really know how to rub it in, Don. Your inaugural Crossfit Oz gathering and it's on my birthday...!!! But I'm no chance of being in Sydney then. I'll just have to work extra hard in parallel with you guys from up here.

Mate, this is very exciting news...

Sorry Don

Looks like i cant make it down for your inagural "suffer in Sydney" :-(
Apparently I agreed to be part of a Team Triathlon (with work) thats on the same weekend. Not sure if im doing the 4km run or the 16km ride?

Next time! I WILL be down in Sydney in October around the 15th on my way to have my High School reunion at Taree, so we will have to catch up then and you can show me the new place.

Best of luck.
Fiona

so Don any hints on what is planned for the suffer in sydney.
i'm 90% sure i'll be making the trip down and am keen for some hurt.
i was thinking if you get a good turn out we could do fight gone bad with half counting/ half enjoying the pain.
maybe finish with some sled dragging, tyre flipping, kettlebelling yarns.
what do you think mate.

Don, I will be in Sydney the first week of Oct. I would love to come and get a workout in with you. I might be able to convince some of my friends and family to join us as well.
