W/F Safe link to the G4 tv channel's new contest....

AMERICAN NINJA CHALLENGE!!!!!!!!!

http://upload.g4tv.com/upload/ninjawarrior_upload.aspx

This contest is made for CrossFitters.

To qoute their contest description.

"demonstrate that you possess the extraordinary physical skills necessary to conquer Ninja Warrior's notoriously difficult obstacles. We're looking for warriors with strength, speed, agility, balance and endurance. So give it your Ninja best and get working on that video. But please, don't do anything that would place you or anyone else in danger."

Nice right? If you've seen the TV show and, like me, said "I could sooooo do that!" Now's our time to put up or shut up.

I'll probably just shut up, anyone else interested?

I don't see myself as going to Japan anytime soon.

Still, Ninja Warrior is cool. Did you hear that Jordan Jovtchev and the Hamm brothers have done that? Even Jovtchev, our favorite gymnast, has failed to win that game. That is one seriously hard game show.

(If Jovtchev isn't your favorite gymnast, then you can address your 10,000 word apology to JordanIsTheBestHowDareYouLikeAnyOtherGymnastBetter .com)

Well, Jordan and Paul got stumped on the wall run part of the first (?) course I think it was. If they had any technique training for wall runs from parkour or anything they would've gotten pretty far. Morgan made it to like the 3rd course or something I think.

I think Jordan might have made it to the third stage as well. I think he went out on the ledge shimmying portion at one time at least. (Makes sense, an Olympic gymnast is not a rock climber.)

Jordan actually made it to the finals one time. I watched one of the re-runs, and he gets to the top of the spiderwalk and loses it because the walls start to fall away after 15 seconds, and he doesn't quite make it to the rope climb part of the final stage. In his defense it looked like it was raining pretty hard-which I cannot imagine helped him do the spiderwalk. That makes him one of thirteen to ever make it to the final stage.

And who did make it to the end? A fisherman. There's proof for you that anyone can be super fit.

This just seems so suited for the Parkour folks doing CF especially, and yeah, I have seen that Americans make it through some stages, none won though, I'd love to try, but I think instigating someone with an actual shot will be my input instead.

Jordan will no doubt be on that show numerous more times, as he is constantly looking for professional events to make money and support his family.

Would love to see some crossfitters' videos up on that site!
