Zone Diet Body Type Question
My question would it be wise to consider myself as a,
Large Male or an X-Large Male I am 6'4" 260lbs, while i dont feel X-Large perhaps i am?? I am woding about 3 time a week. |

I'd say you're probably an X-large male. I assume you're looking at the block chart in the article at http://journal.crossfit.com/2004/05/...sfit-journ.tpl (WFS) to try and figure out how many blocks you need. The difference between 19 (large) and 20 (x-large) blocks won't really matter, though. At least initially, just improving your eating habits will make a huge difference even if you're not at exactly the right number of blocks.
Alternatively, if you have a way to figure out your lean body mass in pounds, you can divide that by ten to find how many blocks you should eat. (That's a simplification of the formula that only works if you're active, but since you say you work out 3 times a week, it would work for you). |

For Zone, you eat for the body you want, not the body you are, but no more than one size down or up. So at 260 you are definitely a XL. If you want to lose weight, eat the "large" amount. Once you are around 225-235, you can either stay at large or then move down to medium if you want to lose more weight.
