What's everyone's take on fasting? I've always been against it due to it's effect on the metabolism, blood sugar, performance, etc... but have a few people asking about it in reference to cleansing and so I would like to get people's feedback, thoughts, experiences, etc.

IDEALLY, the more medical reasons the better - both for and against... and WHY?

There's an interesting article in issue #6 of the Performance Menu (link is on the main page) on "intermittent fasting." The main benefits appear to be longevity, optimal health and performance. My experience thus far is that my WOD performance only suffers if it's scheduled toward the end of the fast.
