Re: AllisonNYC

extra running practice helps.

I follow a black box template and I run a mile on the days I do the lifting only. I set the treadmill at least at 9.0 mph and just suck it up for the mile. It has helped a ****load on my running endurance.

only because I made a total commitment to fitness and cleaning my diet up. sure I have good genetics as far as athletic performance goes, but it doesn't come without work.

Word up.. That's a realistic view. Good on ya.

I'll add some extra running on the heavy days. I'm going to get my roomie to go out with me. She hates it too

But I don't know if I'll follow CFE just yet. I might hold off to see what happens for a month with just the WOD

But I went out for a 15 minute slow run this morning. It felt terrible. I felt tired as soon as I went out.

Re: AllisonNYC

you said you don't have an appetite and you are tired as soon as you ran....

perhaps the onset of getting sick? There's a wicked cold going around here, a lot of my co-workers are sick as well.

Re: AllisonNYC

What happened to following the main site WODs? I didn't see the 15 min run on there.

I am going to follow the main site. I'm going to Jeannies later to do the deadlifts.

I've been doing short extra runs here and there because I just suck at running so badly. I figure I could use the extra work. And 15 minutes isn't going to put me in danger of overtraining. Right!?

Re: AllisonNYC

Looking at Jeannie's website. That looks like there are some rock stars there. I don't see how just being in the environment isn't going to push you and help you.

Running a little extra on days like today sounds like a good idea. I might try that as well.
