zercher squats

what is the general consensus on zercher squats. I would like to use them in our workouts for fall and winter high school sport programs. I saw them on Zach Even-esh (sp. ?) wrestling strength website. i think it is call "Get Wrestling Strong" or something like that. I have tried them and seemed pretty good for leg, low back and midline strength.

Re: zercher squats

THey are good, but I would focus on the basic barbell lifts. No need to make it any more complex than it needs to be.
