Hey...where's the love? Only 2 calls the entire 2 hours. Are my endurance pursuits so tainted with LSD and sub-maximal efforts that you all felt you would weaken just talking to me about it? C'mon, endurance activity is not so bad. After all, Mark Twight is an endurance guy (of course he is also super-human and has a way cool Avatar so perhaps the comparison is unwarranted). For any that happened to listen I hope I didn't sound too stupid or out of line with the quality of folks that preceeded me.

CrossFit Live is a great program that we all need to support. Let's make sure that when the next show comes on we load the lines for Dave and his guest. Of course if you do I will really develop a complex.

Eugene,
We only caught the tail end of the show, but you sounded damned knowledgable, capabable, and intelligent. So no worries on those points.
I have tremendous respect for you as an athlete, teacher, human being and keeper of the peace. When I'm on the boards I am continually informed by your posts, often humbled by them. When I'm not on the boards you are still a major figure in my internal "CrossFit Pantheon of Motivation", people I know and think of when the WOD gets tough and I need to push myself through it.
With the holidays, people's schedules get wacky and well bolluxed up. I know at work we simply assume that everyone is in a monthlong brainfart throughout December, and act accordingly. I'd be inclined to attribute the low call-in numbers to that, and personally expect to see a lot of "shoot, I missed Eugene on Crossfit Live!" posts.
Everyone who missed, another 50 pullups.
Or 90 second L-sits.
Or both.
As pennance.
JK

Hey Dude,

Don't feel bad. I was all set last week with Jonathan and Sam out to a seminar and the computer and house all to myself when, blamo, crossfit live went dead for the night. This week we had a seminar and then I got home and said, Hey, Jonathan, Eugene is on! I dialed in and before we were connected, handed the phone to Jonathan and said, "ask him something about martial arts or something - he is brilliant but I don't know what they are talking about and don't know what to say!".

Main thing - I can't wait until I can download the rest of the show. Second main thing - I got it even better on the stupid lawn in front of the Colorado hotel when I got you to myself for 45 minutes!

You know your stuff. And your humble. And you got the best gym I know. I am not anti-LSD. Well, maybe after my half marathon, I am. But that is only for me! I still take a lot of pride in knowing someone who has done the races you have done!

Hope to see you in Feb.

Beth

Eugene, my bad. I meant to call in (and give you shi*), but I fell asleep. The show doesn't start until 9pm, and I'm typically crashed out by 9:30 so I can get up at 4:45.

Sorry I missed it.

Thanks Jonathan and Beth, I enjoyed talking to you both. Matt - I even mentioned you during the program thinking you would be listening. I forgot about the whole time change thing. I went to bed a bit after 2300 last night, my wife woke me up at 0300 when she got home from work and I got up at 0445 to go out and train this morning before going to work myself. Maybe I would look more like you if I got a little more sleep, ate better, worked out harder and had a body sculpting operation. In fact my comment about you is reflective of this thought. Just what you need, more attention brought unto you. Coach called me for a little chat this morning...it has been a very CrossFit focused 24 hours.

Download the show sleepyhead, you'll want to listen.

Eugene,
The Martins were having computer trouble. Couldn't connect with the show for the first half hour and then it just kept dropping. Count us in the "shoot I missed Eugene group."

Eugene,

Sorry mate but time issues meant the show was kicking off at about 3 in the morning for me! Admittedly i was up an hour and a half later to go to work, but had to jump on the Trek in minus degrees... If it's any consolation i was thinking "I bet Eugene would love to train in this wonderful weather..."

Gene, Sorry I couldn't come up with a better general interest question. I also meant to work in a thanks for the extra coaching you gave me in Golden and for your contribution to the community in general. BTW, if everything works out for me at selection I should be PCS'ing out to FT Lewis sometime in late '06. Can't wait to check out Crossfit Pierce County in person. Chris

LSD every once in a while? Sure.

Even Timothy Leary would agree.

Oh wait, wrong type. :-)

Eugene, sorry I missed the show, but I have this weird server thing going on where I can't get the feed. Look forward to downloading later on and will do a set of tabata squats as penance.
