there was a facebook post that hinted something was coming, they could just throw us a curve ball though and release a klokov bosu ball

Re: again faster bar

We need a bunch of new bars for my affiliate and the price is right on these bars. I'm concerned about knurl and noise. When I hear noise, I hear loose tolerances which means it may not hold up in an affiliate environment. Also, I've heard conflicting reports about the knurl. I wish I could know... I trust the warranty of AF to handle the noise issue.

Re: again faster bar

Is there any reason why they are so cheap? Only $359 over here...

They are made overseas somewhere. Doesn't mean they are bad. However, I've heard of affiliate owners near me bending multiple bars. AF just kept sending them more. Good news on them backing up their bar... bad news on repeated bent bars. This was a year or so ago, so no idea if they have improved on them.

Re: again faster bar

well I got my bar today, pretty unimpressed with it,the machining is of poor quality in the knurling and it spin is about the same as the rusted barbells that were in the FOB is was in, in Afghanistan. I don't know if I want to snatch it for fear it might rollout of my hands, I know this isn't the quality of an elieko or something of that calibre but the spin is really rough

that being said the knurling isn't very aggressive which I liked and I didnt find it anymore noisier than my rogue bar when dropped

I also power cleaned 245 with it which was a 20 lbs pr so I guess the bar isn't all bad

I also liked that the raised part of the coller(someone please tell me the technical name because I haven't been able to find it) is wider than the rogue bar and has enough room to place a fairly wide band on it

all in all I think I should have saved a bit more money and went with the rogue 2.0 but ah well live and learn

anyways thanks for all the feedback

Re: again faster bar

emailed AF to see what they had to say about the spin, will wait and see what they come back with, im putting serious thought into returning the bar pending what they say and going with the rogue 2.0

I've noticed the same thing with the AF bars. They seem cheap to me. Maybe it's the rattle, maybe it's because friends of mine that own affiliates send them back because of bending.

I think the rogue 2.0 and the ohio bar are very similar... and they were stacked up here vs the barbell I use - Rep Fitness Excalibur

http://joelxfit.wordpress.com/2013/1...excalibur-bar/ WFS

and a full review of the Excalibur here - http://joelxfit.wordpress.com/2013/1...ibur-bar-20kg/ WFS

I've used every bar under the sun, and have been using the Excalibur for over a year now and been really pleased with it. I've recommended it to a lot of my friends locally who've been really happy as well. Let me know if you have any questions about it vs other bars.
