THE SEVEN workout

Tried to find a thread talking about this hero workout but did not find any.

Did the workout last night.. 25:40RX. First time.. was a hard one for sure.

To me it was all about the Thrusters and not spending much time on the deadlifts.

Age 44, crossfit 1.5 years. Where do I stand?

Re: THE SEVEN workout

Where do you stand??

Well it depends. Was the workout effective for you? Did you feel you benefitted from it?

If the answers are 'YES' then you stand in good stead.

If you are asking how you rate compared to everyone else... who cares??

Re: THE SEVEN workout

Vic,

I can give you my feedback. 45 years old, 19 months into my training.

You smoked me and I feel that time is very good compared to what I saw others at our box complete.

I was on rd seven (Thrusters) at the 30 min cut-off. Had a calf cramp problem on rd 7 which pretty much stopped me.

I did all the weights RX. Thrusters were rough...I remember the burpees sucking really bad (even just 7 of them). I had to sub GHD's for K2E as I had a brachilia/forearm issue on my grip while hanging from a bar. I thought that was a fair sub.

Anyway, nice work!

Re: THE SEVEN workout

I couldn't even finish this WOD when it was first posted on the mainsite.

Here are the elite times from when it was created:
Mikko Salo 19:19; Chris Spealler 20:56; Graham Holmberg 24:37

I may revisit it now because it I have a pretty solid feeling that I can complete it virtually unbroken.

Your time is definitely very good.

Re: THE SEVEN workout

Felt good one of the Regional athletes who did well was in the rear view.. but he already worked out that day. I do like all of those exercises... plus being the Hero type more motivation. Honor the fallen people.. what a good thing to do. Crossfit is good for that.
