more k-bell questions

Does anyone have an opinion on the Wright kettlebells vs. Ader? or vs. the MuscleDriver grey v2? Has anybody tried these?
The Wright KB's look nice and are reasonably priced, but what about smoothness of the handles, the balance, and the overall quality compared to the others?
I won't be using them for anything but WOD type stuff, but I need a 1.5pd and a 2pd.

Re: more k-bell questions

Hey Jeff,
I just wrote up an article comparing some of the kettlebell brands we carry. I like the Wright bells. They are the second most popular brand we carry. I would definitely recomend them over the muscledriver, but I can't comment on the ader. I talk about the handle sizes and have measurements and pictures in the article.

I hope it helps you with your decision.

Before making a decision, check out Bert at Midwest Fitness. He's got a quality KB at a very attractive price. I know I bought one and was very impressed with price, quality and delivery from Bert and would buy from him again. It's worth a look.

I second Bert from Midwestern. He is the same guy from (wfs) www.thekettlebellking.com . I did a mini review in this same forum...

Noah,
Which kettlebells have the thickest handles of the ones you carry (comparing the same weight of course)? I'm not worried about getting both hands in, I prefer single hand work anyway.

Thanks.

Re: more k-bell questions

Gary,
Actually the thickest handle will be on the Body Solid bells. I don't really talk about them very much because most people don't like how thick they are. I don't have a 55 in stock at the moment but I do have a 65 and the handle on it is 5 3/8" circumference!!! As I mentioned in the article I have realatively small hands and I have difficulty closing my hand on it. After that the Wright and the CAP are both 5" (cap is 5" from 26.5 up and wright is starting at 53 below 53 wrights are 4 3/4").

As you can see the Body Solid is a whopping 3/8" bigger and if I remember correctly the 70 is a hair bigger then that. I will tell you right now that they will put a beat down on your forearms. I have put in an image of the BS 65.

Noah
