UK Affilates

Hello everyone,

Hard to search for any relevant information for the UK, as 'uk' is under the three letters needed to be able to use a search term.

Anyway, I am looking for relevant information for the UK, specificaly Scotland.

I have done the majority of the grunt work, and would just like any pointers or advice that has come up for others here in the UK, that I may have overlooked.

Thanks,

John

Hi John,

Are you based in Edinburgh?

I train at the Edinburgh uni gym, I haven't visited any of the Crossfit gyms in Scotland yet but plan to.

Re: UK Affilates

Im Davie and I'm the affiliate at CrossFit Central Scotland. I'm a very small garage affiliate now. I can be reached at crossfitcs@gmail.com

CrossFit Fife would be your nearest affiliate if you are in Edinburgh - Simon and Raymond can be reached at elite@crossfitfife.com . They are in Dunfermline and have a great gym

CrossFit Scotland are in Irvine and can be reached at CrossFitScotland@BasixGym.com

Re: UK Affilates

Hi everyone,

I'm new here, and desperately looking for anyone training in CrossFit in Kent, England. Thought this might be a good thread to join...

The gym I train at is OK with pretty much anything I've tried to do in terms of scaled and modified WODs, but it's just too busy to get through a WOD without losing apiece of equipment to someone half-way through. And I might be doing a lot of stuff horribly wrong!!

If there's anyone out there who can point me in the direction of a trainer / club (I know thre are no affiliates nearby), I'd be in your debt.
(And before anyone suggests it - I'm too far out to travel to London).

Cheers
Scott

Re: UK Affilates

Hi Scott,

have you tried http://www.funckey.co.uk (wfs) there are quite a few UK crossfitters (and other functional fitness athletes) who post on there. You might be able to find someone local to hook up with.

Other than that it might be worth contacting Miles as Crossfit West Sussex(Worthing) to arrange a couple of sessions to get your form on the basics checked.

Re: UK Affilates

Scott,

I'm setting up Crossfit Central London in the next day or so, training out of London Bridge. www.crossfitcentrallondon.co.uk. w/f/safe

If you can't find anything close enough to home for regular training, then I will be running a 2 week foundations course which will cover all of the CF basics (if you need them).

Good luck,

Brian

Re: UK Affilates

That's really helpful, thanks Brian.
Central London's a bit of a trek for me, but it's nice to have the offer.
There may be more going on in my area than I originally thought, though - so here's hoping I can get something locally. But if I'm ever up in London, I'll drop in.

Cheers
Scott
