Gear

A couple questions:
What are some a good websites for good equipment?

What are some good brands for headgear, boxing gloves, mma sparring gloves, cup, mouthpiece, etc?

I know about fairtex, but they are pretty pricey. I want some stuff that will last a long time, that won't cost hundreds of dollars, if that exists. Thanks in advance for any input.

Re: Gear

Jason,

Check out Combat Sports International. I have their gloves and muay thai bag, good quality and good prices. They have a lot of other stuff too. Good luck.

Re: Gear

I got one of their MMA gloves about a year ago and is good stuff. I don't know how hardcore you're going, but I use it for light sparring while grappling and to drill striking techniques from ground positions w/ mitts, and it's perfect, for only $19.99.

Re: Gear

Go to Fighter's Corner (on n. King) and On The Mat (Beretania) and check out just about anything that you want. I like both stores. They both have online stores as well. fighterscorner.net and onthemat.com

Re: Gear

Jason,

I picked up some shin guards 'Combat Sports' brand from OTM in town. Nice stuff there but I later noticed the 808fightshop.com link from the Onzuka site was cheaper. Not sure what shipping/handling would be if any.

Re: Gear

Thanks, checked out FC. Prices aren't as bad as I imagined. On to OTM.
