I want to find the most durable Slam ball. Is it the D-Ball?

I made the duct tape version, then ponied up for the D-ball. I slammed my duct-tape sand filled "b-ball" once and was like, this thing ain't going to last.

The thickness of the walls of the Dball and the plug to keep the sand in seem really solid.

I am happy with my purchase, I cannot say that I have abused it much tho, so I cannot speak of long term durability. The price seems high, but its all about supply and demand.

Good Luck!

After my last experience with slam ball (the sand from my homemade ball raining on my head...) I decided to save for a D-Ball. My understanding is that the 20 lb yellow "non-bouncing" D-Ball is preferred for CrossFit. My question is about the diameter. Should I go with the 8", 9" or 10.6"? From pics I've seen, it looks like one of the latter two.
