I finally broke down and bought myself a Concept II rower. I got a really good tax return, so I decided to treat myself. I should last me until I die with just me and a couple other people using it. I looked at the cheaper ones, but I decided that saving a couple hundred bucks was not as important as having a really well made product. Of course, when my wife sees it in the garage, my life expectancy could be really short.

The vow says "until death do you part", but I don't think your wife is allowed to kill you. Thank God.

So why the "angry" icon on the post?

I think it's because the angry icon is the coolest icon. I'm a fan.

Ha! Dan's theory has merit, but Frank reveals the truth!

Good investment Frank... I bought a C2 model B 10 years ago and it is still going strong with little maintenance. When your wife notices it in the garage, just use one of my favorite excuses... "oh, I've had that for a LONG while, honey."

I must add that it's good to see a post from another southern CF'er.

Right on Dan! I've only skated there once but it's definitely a model for initiative, perseverance and wanting something bad enough to work for it. I can't wait to get back to Oregon and skate some of the other incredible concrete parks around the state.

Hey Dan, I checked your profile and saw that you're from the SF area. My former employer has a division in Sunnyvale, so I've gotten to skate a few of the parks around that area. The last time I was out there I took a whole day and did a public park tour all by myself. My favorite public parks were Ripon and Sunnyvale. The Vans park in Milpitas was killer but I hear it's closed down now.
