Anyone out there have their dog on a Paleo diet ?

I'm wondering what dog food are out there which are good for the dog and not full of corn, grain, gluten crap.

they sell dog foods like evo and those, but there really expensive!

I used to make all my dogs food........lots of raw meat, and I'd add in rice to keep costs low.

Just feed your dog raw meat? Instant paleo just add nothing.

We have switched to EVO Red Meat.

Our Choc lab is a lot less gassy, less poop, and still has plenty of energy. It is a bit more expensive, but we are using less of the stuff as compared to the NutroMax that we had been feeding him.

I look at it this way: It's the only thing he eats, spending a few extra bucks isn't going to break me.

We have always used dogfoods lower in grain for a very long time. Our dogs have lived long healthy lives as well.

Thanks all. I found the Evo brand around here. I'm slowly going to be weening the dog off of the mostly corn based stuff they fed him at the pound and eventually onto the Evo raw stuf.

No food is too expensive for man's best friend.

I feed my dogs:

raw eggs (2-3/meal, no shell b/c they track them all over the house, but they are good for dogs)
raw chicken (any parts, they LOVE the giblets as a treat!, usually drumsticks, 1-2/meal)
fish oil or olive oil or coconut oil (around 1TBS)

2x/day

Occasionally:
fat cut off of steaks
salmon
ground beef

And then Mikey eats whatever vegetables fall onto the floor. Sam won't touch them.

What exactly constitutes "paleo" for a dog? I can't imagine cavedogs eating salmon and olive oil. I'd think the meat of small mammals is probably about all they ever ate prior to being domesticated.
