little drummer boy in my ear

it feels like someone is tapping on my right ear drum about 3-8x every so often, but i don't go more than 1 minute without it happening. i have had moments of temporary deafness in the same ear after intense workouts, but it usually goes away after 1/2 hour or so. this is not going away. 3 days ago i did the wod from one of the regionals 15-12-9 c and j/hspu, 2 days ago i did cindy, took yesterday off. anyone got any ideas what this sporatic thump in my ear might be?

not really. i'm wondering if it has something to do with post exercise. i did a front squat 1rm at about 5pm today. when i wrote the post, it was approximately 8pm. i took a shower, it is now 10:15 and it seems to have subsided. i guess we'll see what happens after tomorrow's wod, but it is really freeking annoying when it happens...

If you find that it does correlate with your heartbeat, don't exercise at all and get to a good physician.

Re: little drummer boy in my ear

Had this several times; guessed it was muscle spasms and took magnesium.

If it does corelate with Heart rate, what are possible causes?

Intracranial bleeding/pressure for one... probably around temporal lobe/bone or thereabouts. That's the one I'd worry about.

Of course, I'm not exactly sure if Robert was talking about the same thing.
