WEDNESDAY.
5ish hours of sleep. Then with Cassie, Record, and Hunter at 7am... Snatch. Up to 103lbs. Did a bunch of doubles that I don't usually do at lighter loads. Then failed at 108lbs two times - had to commit a little more with the third pull. Snatch Pulls. 108 x 2, 113 x 2, 118 x 2. I plan to lift later so I didn't want to go too crazy with the pulls as my back is still not 100%. 118 felt like a good working weight for today speed-wise. Then, brunch with Chris at Cafe Lift. ![]() |

The rest of Wednesday.
730pm Mobility Class - good stuff, definitely needed everything we did. 830pm "Jackie" - and uhhh it's been almost 2 YEARS since I've done this - that's a PR for NOT repeating a workout. I ended up PRing - even though this is technically the second metcon I've done in 8 weeks and my right arm feels detached a bit (lat just feels pulled but I've been resting it and trying to go slower in the kip). Time of 1218 (unless I'm remembering incorrectly) - I chalk it up to the good company - Record, Cassie, and Chris ![]() Weighing in at 61.6kg. I think I'll take December and see how the combo of these shorter metcons plus oly lifting goes. The soreness has really been the most concerning thing so far. Quote:

THURSDAY.
7-830am this morning. Align and Flow Yoga (Anusara) with Jake Good. Feeling surprisingly better after last night's WOD, still sore, but that's not weird. I felt a little disoriented in class for some reason - I think my breathing was just off cause I was still waking up... I also HATE it when instructors make me use my fingertips on the floor instead of my hands - it just hurts and reminds me of some drills my piano teacher used to make me do when I was like 7. Not sure what I'll do today - hopefully will do some olympic lifting - will definitely squat (should back squat), maybe a teeny metcon. Also, fasted til 2pm. |

Didn't end up squatting yesterday (boooo).
FRIDAY. Headache when I woke up today that didn't go away with water and coffee - weird. Maybe just a total lack of sleep? - like 5 hours. Did the CFCC metcon (which was actually borrowed from a way tougher one from CrossFit Invictus), 315 rest 3 minutes, 405. (50 Double Unders, 30 Kettlebell Swings, 15 Pull-ups) SATURDAY CrossFit Hoboken - fun times. ![]() ![]() |

![]() SUNDAY Rest - teach classes - think about training at 5pm and then consider... it's cold outside and I would like to be lazy and watch the new Harry Potter - also, I ate a LOT of green tea ice cream. Lovely. MONDAY Don't really need 2 days in a rest day ever... but I did today because I coached all day and I feel a little sick - my allergies are acting up and I fell asleep sitting down in between my classes - never a good sign. Moving on... TUESDAY Noon, with a bunch of people. "Angie" 100 Pull-ups, 100 Push-ups, 100 Sit-ups, 100 Squats - 3533 So, I guess - when I look at this - this is sort of a PR! I was remembering my previous time when I actually did 75 reps. VERY interesting. My push-ups were pretty slow today but having Miller around definitely helped ![]() Anyway, I know this can be better - I could have done more pull-ups in each set and definitely more push-ups in each set. I can't help but think that lighter is always SO much easier when I do workouts like this... hmm... Now I kind of have a fever. Interesting. Quote:

Kalsu, rx'd in 20 minutes. 27 reps. Oy vey. This was like... as many as I can and a round of rest, and then one a minute for a very long time. Now I know I won't definitively die doing 100 Burpees - well that's nice. THURSDAY, 12/15/11 Dunno cause I'm mad busy - I should squat anyway... or deadlift really... or snatch pull - SO MANY DECISIONS! |

Then lots of Christmas goose. All in all a big CHEAT weekend ![]() MONDAY, 12/19/11 Back Squat, up to 175 x 3 (oy - Adductors feeling weird) 5 rounds for time of: Back Squat @ 50% of Peak Set (5 reps), Bear Crawl 60ft., Russian Kettlebell Swing (2/1.5) 10 reps - 725 - weirdly fatiguing? TUESDAY, 12/20/11 Pronated Grip Pull-up: up to a peak of 3 at bodyweight. SOOOOOO SLOW! “Franathon” : For 12 minutes, 3 reps, Thrusters (95/65), 3 reps, Chest to Bar Pull-up, 3 reps, 6 reps Thrusters, 6 reps C2B Pull-up, 9 reps Thrusters, 9 reps C2B Pull-up. - Got 15 Thrusters, and 6 Pull-ups. Endurance is in the tank. Must. breathe. more. Gotta teach tomorrow morning. Oy. Will try to remember to nap. |
