Power Clean Technique Check

Hey!

Did some power cleans after todays workout even if I wasn't supposed to, and look where it got me, +5kg PR! Looking for a check in technique though.

70kg/154lbs WFS

80kg/176lbs PR 5kg WFS

85kg/187lbs miss WFS

I think I'm too slow below the bar and my elbows aren't fast enough. It looked like I should have got that 85kg, dropped shoulders and weight went forward, a shame.

Thanks!

I think you are right but I think the main thing you lacked was aggression on that last one. You could have made that weight with more aggression I reckon

You're not that slow, and Jon's right, you should have had that last one. You were aggressive in the pull, but didn't stay tight when you racked the bar, you just crumbled. Remember, the lift isn't over until you're standing with it.
