JP Hates Thrusters

Age: 25
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 185lbs

Notes:
I've been doing Crossfit on and off for a few months, but I think I'll call 9-1-08 my official start date because I've been a lot more "off" than "on" before that. My basic goals are to get rid of some fat around the gut and chest, and build strength and muscle.

Re: JP Hates Thrusters

"Fran" - 8:12

I scaled the weight down to 75#. Neither of my shoulders are in great shape -- I've torn the rotator cuffs in both of them and broke my left collarbone in 2 places and tore my AC 2 years ago. All snowboarding injuries :P

Also started on the hundredpushups.com program today. So, Week 1 Day 1 - 10,10,8,6,max (60 seconds of rest between each round) - Complete.

Did the hundredpullups workout directly after:

115# "Grace" - 11:52

Hit my nose with the bar on a sloppy rep for number 23. It hurt a little bit, but no blood :P Finished the other 7 promptly after that.

Re: JP Hates Thrusters

9-22-08: I messed up my ankle during the Filthy Fifty somehow so I skipped Isabel. I did a few sets of pushups and pullups instead.

9-23-08: Virtual Shoveling and Pushups with olympic bar and 35# plate: 19:39.

"Nicole"

Complete as many rounds in 20 minutes as you can of:
Run 400 meters
Max rep Pull-ups

4 rounds, 15,12,12,13. Definitely need to get my running back to where it used to be.

Also started intermittent fasting today. Ate from 1:30p to 7:30p and got about 1980 calories. I feel pretty good so far.

Re: JP Hates Thrusters

9-26-08: 30 muscle ups for time. Subbed 4 pullups and 4 ring dips per muscle up. Got through 20 sets before my arms were exhausted and rubbed raw from the ring straps. Good enough for me.

9-27-08: Went to the Go Fast Games at Royal Gorge Bridge. It's the tallest suspension bridge in the world and they only let people base jump and bungee jump off of it once per year at these games. Got some awesome pics. Skipped the WOD, but we walked and hiked around enough at the games.

9-28-08: 5-5-5-5-5 Push Jerks. Loved this one. My shoulders are still extremely weak but I feel pretty good about the weight I put up:

1. 5x95 (note to self: shouldn't have started this low)
2. 5x115
3. 5x125
4. 5x135 (failed on my 4th rep and then tried again to finish my 4th and 5th reps)
5. 5x125

Total score: 2975. I hope to crush this next time.

Also did some bench presses and curls for old times sake :P

Re: JP Hates Thrusters

Supposed to be a rest day today, but since I slacked on Saturday I figured I'd do something. Practiced pushups and handstand pushups for about 15 minutes, then did 50 pushups and 100 situps.
