Hi

I have missed the last 3 wods as I had some pain in my right shoulder which lead to sharp pains in the center of my upper back between the shoulder blades, I was told that it could be myofacial pain and that exercise would be good for it so I did a few swings lightly yesterday to see how I coped and it went quite well.

Tonight I will be training Muay Thai for 1hr 30mins but before this because i have missed the WODs and because I've promised myself that I will complete a high percentage of the prescribed workouts this year I plan to complete the weighted pullups and then the row and bench wod after. This should give me around an hour and a half before I begin the Thai class.

Question is, if people fall behind in the WODs due to whatever reason what is the best way to catch up if you are a really really busy person. Is it OK just to keep doubling up or would this be detrimental to the programming and overall improvement?

Thanks
Leon.

Leon, doubling up every now and again is cool but I would really be wary about trying to make up a whole 3 WOD cycle in short order. Not too difficult to throw an ME day on top of a met-con WOD once or twice but to type it off with a martial arts session ... you better hope that Linda doesn't come knocking tomorrow.

Sometimes, you will just have to miss out a WOD or two if life throws you a curve. Playing catch up and getting under-recovered will have you missing more WOD's in the long run.

Cheers, kempie
