I haven't posted in a long time, but have been "lurking" (I hate that term - sounds so unseemly) and learning the whole time. Here's a Tabata style workout I did yesterday that I thought people might be interested in trying. My total score, 26, won't be too hard to beat. It was fun and I'm feeling it today.

"Sierra Eastside Tabata"
- Front Squats (45 lb oly. bar)
- Pushups
- Medicine Ball Slams
- Pull ups

Finished up with some glute-ham bench situps and backextentions, but not using the Tabata protocol. Might add them to the mix though as I get in better shape.

What's the recommended medicine ball weight for the slams? I did those for the first time @ Santa Cruz in a WOD that Lani Lau made up. I must admit they were a lot more challenging than I thought they'd be. So what is the Crossfit 'Standard Man' med ball weight?

I will be able to scale it from there.

I did them with a 20 pound medicine ball and, yes, they were more challenging than I thought they'd be.
