Hey,

is anybody else in the same boat as me? Really wanting to do the CrossFit thing but lacking the motivation to carry through with it day-by-day?

This year I'd really just like to dive into the CrossFit WODs, but I need to be accountable to someone - just somebody to email my time or score to and to kind of cheer eachother on.

If you're needing something like this too and would be interested in being accountable then let me know...

Thanks.b.

That is what I use the homepage for. I post my times and I see everyone elses and even a few friends on there(usually right under the photo will be the link). It helps me stay motivated, and it helps with some personal competition trying to beat some of the other scores and top my own.

Definitely use the homepage, I try to find someone who posts similar scores as mine, then I work hard to try and beat them. But I have beeen doing x-fit for almost 4 months now and when I do miss workouts it is like missing my birthday. I am terribly addicted.

What name do you use to post your times on the homepage? Tell us and I, for one, will look for you on a daily basis. If I don't see you I can call you out, politely (or otherwise if that works for you).

This is a great, supportive, community. Let it push you along until you're self-motivated.

The U.S. National Masters Weightifting Championships starts March 17th, in Baton Rouge, LA. My class lifts on the 19th, weigh-in at 7:00 am.

That's my idea of accountability.

Hey Will,

I post as "brendan"... I'm in there today. Thanks for keeping an eye out for me.

Thing I've noticed as I've lurked around this community is that it's full of military, police and firefighters - all of whom are notoriously the most disciplined people in our culture. I'm a youth minister... and though I should be more disciplined, with all the distractions and such and the fact that I'm accountable to somebody for just about everything else having someone to hold me accountable to this would really help me out.

Thanks Will!

Brendan

Brendan-

It sounds like you give a lot of yourself to other people. Think of the WOD as a gift you give yourself. Sounds like you've earned it.

Thanks Will...
I do give... I gave so much that I found myself eating cheeseburgers at MacDonald's so I could hang out with the kids I work with... then I decided there was indeed a place to draw a line :-)

Take care. And good luck Lincoln.
