Recommended Crossfit Shoes

Hello All,

Looking to buy a pair of exercise shoes that I can wear as I complete the various WOD requirements be it running, lifting, jumping, whatever. Right now I have a pair of Aasic's that I take off when I do any kind of lifting, and I'm tired of wandering around the gym in my socks. I've seen a couple Crossfitters wear Vibram's. What do you guys think?

Re: Recommended Crossfit Shoes

There are many many threads covering this topic. Do a Search with shoes as a subject line keyword.

My personal favorite so far is the Onitsuka Tiger Ultimate 81.

Re: Recommended Crossfit Shoes

Depends what I'm doing. Wet out: Vibram FiveFingers Flows. Lifting and WODs: Inov8 F-Lite 230s or Adidas Sambas or VIbram FiveFingers Komodo Sports.

Chuck Taylors for WODs without running, basically any minimalist shoe otherwise

I wear vibram trial gloves for everything. Just started using Adidas lifting shoes for dead lifts, squats etc.

I love the New Balance MT101 for general use. For dedicated lifting sessions or appropriate wod use, I have a pair of Rogue Do-Wins

Re: Recommended Crossfit Shoes

I have a pair of Inov-8 F-lite 230's and they work well for everything except long distance runs, IMO. (4+ miles)

Vibrams would be a drastic change from your Aasics. I would reccommend either an Inov-8, Nike Free, Saucony Kinvara 2, or New Balance Minimus.

In the end, go to the store and try them all on. Walk around, jump around, and run around in them before buying them.

Re: Recommended Crossfit Shoes

I have a New Balance MX20 (black & red), and I really like it. Using it for every kind of torture, and works fine.
Planning to buy a WL shoes, but meanwhile I collect the money, I use the MX20.
