How to set Concept2 PM3 for AMRAP wods

What's the best way to set the PM3 when performing an AMRAP wod like this:

Thursday 091008

Complete as many rounds in 20 minutes as you can of:
Row 250 meters
Sumo deadlift highpull 95 pounds, 21 reps
Pull-ups 15 reps

Is there a way to set the monitor so it counts down from 250, then automatically resets and waits for me to sit down again? Or is the best way to just row and count distance myself? Any tips/tricks?

You can create a new single distance workout for 250m and have it count down for you, but unless you've got someone to prep it for you each round it'll probably auto-shutdown while you're on the other two movements. Then it'll take you 10-15 seconds to turn it back on and get it ready for another 250m countdown. I'm planning on jumping on and pushing the "Just Row" button and watching it count up to 250m, I think that'll allow for the least wasted time each round.

^^^

That's what I do. Then on rounds 2,3,4, etc ... because the wheel continues to spin after I get off .. I add 250 to whatever the total is.

Basically, when I come back to the erg and it's sitting on like 273 or something, I just row to 525.

IIRC you can activate the monitor then push the bottom button on the right side. I believe that's a shortcut to ReRow.

Or you could set up an interval program with a rest period equal to or just a little less than you expect the rest of the drills to take. Unless you really slow down in the later rounds this should be sufficient to keep the monitor active

Cheers, kempie
