Starting For newcomers to the CrossFit methodology

hey,
i just learned about crossfit from a friend and thought i would start up. im looking forward to learnin. i thought i would start training for wresteling and boxing, so anyone out there with some advice i would greatly appriciate it.

Tyler,if you are wrestling during school sessions, I would concentrate on the workouts of the day durring summer break. but add a day or two of skill training. a few skill drills like penetration steps and shooting and sprawl drills will add to your wrestling. if you are learning the movements of Crossfit, start light and learn the movements first, in the begining don't think workout, focus on learning to workout. Read and read and practise, then add intensity.

Rob,thanks for your reply. i appreciate the help getting started. your definitly right about learning the workouts first. its pretty important not to hurt yourself befor you know what your doing. thanks a ton for the tips.

tyler,

also make sure to use the vids of the work outs when you dont know what to do, study them for form, then go slow untill u feel comfortable with the lifts.
