Yep Pull ups was the slowest of the movements for me, have a new method of smashing the C2B's after im tired on them, just hit them in quick singles rather than swingin back and forth under the bar.

No rest on Fridays Ernie with the class, no word on what we are doing yet, Keir gets later every week posting the class , last week he said that my asking what the class is going to be made him rush it and make it extra hard for everyone so this week I will let him post it in hes own time.

9 October 2009

CF Essex Class

Fight Gone Bad

Three rounds of 1 minute each followed by 1 minutes rest of:

Wall Ball 10k/22lb - 34-25-24 -- 83
SDHP 75lb - 33-25-24 -- 82
Box Jumps - 26-17-17 -- 60
Push Press 75lb - 29-23-28 -- 80
Row Calories - 19-18-18 -- 55

Round 1 - 141
Round 2 - 108
Round 3 - 111 - Total 360 PPR (thats Proper PR, never done it with all correct equipment and proper box height before)

That was pure pain, decided to treat it like it was only 1 round and go all out from the start, the minutes rest between round 1 and 2 was almost non-existent in my head. Really suffered on the box jumps today, our bench at the globo is not high enough and after round 1 my legs were hurting bad. Usually BJ and PP are my best numbers but not today.

At the end while laying on the floor I tried to talk and all that came out was "merrrrr merrr mrr" , gave everyone a nice laugh!

Re: A Bears Tale

10 October 2009

Was going to do Kempie's challenge today but feel really beat up from last two days, could not do nothing as its Saturday and I always go to the gym saturday morning, in fact not missed one since I can remember.

Double Under practice - 35 consecutive PR

1000m Run
50 Double Unders
30 KTE's - untimed due to loss of temper.

Double unders going great in practice then totally feel apart in the WOD, could not string them together for about 10 attempts, this really annoyed me and I through my rope and a tantrum, bit prone to those. Stopped stopwatch then got on with it and they was good again.

Awesome pr on fight gone bad mate! Next time record yourself saying merrr merrr merr so we can all laugh too! Double unders tend to suffer when done after something else. Happens to me all the time too. No worries mate you killed ur body yesterday so a mishap is excused today.

Thanks Ernie, you can see how my box jumps suffered at the correct height after round 1, when I said merrrr merr I was actually saying, That Damn Box Jumping Hurt!

Have to hit those DU's more in WODs as mine are great in practice just suffer under pressure.

Thanks Richard, it is great when everything is laid out perfectly , 5k bumpers on the bar so you have the right height for the Sumo's , boxes that dont fall over and people shouting at you.

You've seen me laying on the floor in pain before, for about a minute I could not decide whether to go on my front or back it was that painful.

Re: A Bears Tale

11 October 2009

'Kempie's Challenge'

12 minute AMRAP:
3 x 60k Squat Clean Thrusters
6 C2B Pull Ups
9 KB Swings 1.5 pood - 7R, 3SCT's, 1PU

That was a hard one, definately a few goats in there for me, swings seem to still gas me more than other things. Pull ups by far the easiest part today. Lost concentration on 2nd round and just deadlifted the bar almost forgot what I was doing. First time with SCT's. Original goal was 9 rounds which meant 1.20 per round, got first round in 55 seconds unbroken then after 3 rounds it was 4 minutes, knew then I would not be able to keep that pace.

Damn Ernie LOUD outfit brother!!

Ring Push ups - 28/18

GHD sit ups / bar roll outs.

Tried to do some muscle ups without the false grip but its just so low where we hang our rings to get enough kip.

Edit: Oh yes Matthew Williams on 'Matt's Training Log' joined our challenge this week, he got a solid 5 rounds as RXD.

Re: A Bears Tale

Awesome stuff with the rxFGB Scott, thats a great score. Thats a nice score on the weekly challenge as well. I can tell that one is going to hurt my insides alot. The heavy SQT and swing combo seem like a recipe for pain.
