Agreed, I would hate to get the tear, that can put you out for 6months or longer. Not worth the risk.

I got to do the complexes, although I will be hoping I can miss the hip clean. Its a pull without any dip so all toes and shrug to get the bar up. It will make the whole thing useless for me as I can power clean 110k but hip clean hardly anything turning the power clean and jerk obsolete. Just clean & jerk, I definately will if I can.

Ok. so it is a ''fast under the bar with a shrug'' thing. So is it a full squat or just get under the bar how ever?

I see it making the power clean small for everyone. No way you can hip clean and full power clean weights unless you are CRAZY fast under the bar.

Turns out its a mid thigh dip so a lot easier than it sounded, I found them actually better than the full hang, it was also into a squat so all about speed Nik.

Re: A Bears Tale

4 June 2013

Complexes

1 Power Clean + 1 Hip Clean & Jerk

40k x 3
60k x 3
70k x 2
80k x 2
90k x 2
100k x 1, Failed on 2nd jerk
100k x 1
100k x 1
100k x 1, Failed 2nd hip clean

Weighted Pull Ups

BW x 5
12k x 5
20k x 5
24k x 5
BW x 8

5 minute amrap:

20 Burpees
50 Double Unders - 3 rounds, 1 rep

Raced Chris Reddan head to head, he is unstoppable on double unders so had to do the whole thing unbroken. I was faster at burpees but lost by 1 burpee in the end, 1 miss in first round.

Muscle ups x 5
PUsh ups 20/20/20 varying widths
Russian Twists 30 reps

Re: A Bears Tale

really great session Scott, left me in the dirt across the board. I did power clean the hang power clean, so I did not drop all the way in.
