Military Suffer on Saturday will be held this week. All military personnel are invited to participate in the event. You have until 3 April to post your results under this thread. JT Williams and Wade Rutland from the Canadian Infantry School designed the workout. This is a competition, but it is primarily a tool to introduce folks to CrossFit. The WOD is as follows: 3 rounds for time:

Rd1 Rd2 Rd3
Pull-up 10 20 40
Swing (40lbs) 10 20 40
Push-up 15 30 60
run 200m 400m 800m
Coach B. I would love to see some of those future Marines you are producing down there in Buena Vista participate.

Conditions for the event were less than optimal, typical Ft Lewis weather (rain and then it stopped to rain harder). But as far as I know we seldom get to fight on sunny days in the spring. Great job by all, hopefully we'll have some 40 mile an hour winds with rain next time.

Chemical, Biological, Incident Response Force, 4th Marine Expeditionary Brigade (Anti-Terrorism), Indian Head, Maryland.

Thunderstorms and flood warnings caused many to cower in their homes today but a few roughnecks showed up for some action. I suppose it just wouldn't be a 'military' SOS if rain wasn't blasting right in your face during that last 800m.

Sgt Garcia: 22:25
Cpl Hamel: 20:10 (also a Canadian citizen and received much grief over the grueling third round)
LCpl Hastings: 20:03
Gunny Burke: 17:02

Predict even more turnouts next time as word gets around about 'Hazing on Saturday'. My plt PT is already legendary and no one wants Gunny Burke to be their plt sgt. Heh-heh-heh!

Gunny
It's good to see that Marines still believe in if it's raining we're training.

Last year my son and I were do some pre-basic pt at the local highschool with his recruiter and a few other young men and women who signed up. We thought it was funny when they would not show or just drive up to the parking lot and then head back out if a little rain was falling.

Michael, I can not wait to see what the next Mil SOS will be. Does Grady have the honour of producing it?

I asked Gunny B. to do it for May, so I suspect there will be much bloodletting. The Marines tend to excel at breaking things and killing people. To say the least May should be interesting. I'll see if Grady will do it for June and I'm sure he won't let the Marine Corps out do him.

Great, now I'll have to come up with something truely rugged. Don't worry gents, I'm sure we can come up with something suitably challenging. I can say that the PT uniform for next months SOS will be boots and utes. I am summoning the thrashing even now.

Oh dear, that looks mean. Karl was talking about doing this at one of the Crossfit UK SOS's. Are you sure about that Karl?
