I tried out a pretty cool workout tonight that I wanted to share.The idea came off a post over at Dragondoor and it definitely has the Crossfit flavor.

A baseball diamond works well for this routine as the distances are pretty exact, but any type of field will work.Designate a specific exercise to each base and after completing the required number of reps, you sprint to the next base, do the reps, etc.Once you have sprinted to home plate, you can rest(as I did) or start again.The goal is to complete 9 "innings".

The exercises assigned to each base can be anything.I did single-arm snatches at home plate and 2nd base.Burpees at 1st base, and medicine ball power-overs at 3rd base.The sprints in between each base really made things difficult.Luckily, it was only 20 or 25 meters between bases.

Not sure if anyone here would be interested in this workout, but I sure enjoyed doing it.

That makes it more fun if you are bored of just plugging away workout after workout day after day. Definately a good way to spice things up. Maybe I'll try it when I'm done being lazy. Good post!

Hey now, what is wrong with baseball? Not Crossfit enough for you or did you have a bad experience in Little League? Sorry, had to defend my sport. Haven't been able to play since I started Crossfit but would bet even the baseball player would benefit from the Crossfit regimen.
