INOV8 lifting shoe

I'm not sure if this has been posted but thought I'd share.

Has anyone else heard of the upcoming weightlifting shoes from INOV8?

Thoughts....?

Re: INOV8 lifting shoe

Yea, I just read an article that says the shoe should be available in July. The design sounds interesting but I'm always a skeptic when it comes to "innovations" in footwear.

Here's the link for those that are interested: http://wlshoes.com/new-inov-8-weight...ing-july-2013/ (wfs)

Ive played with it a little. Not on my foot but a sample in my hand. Its a well made lufting shoe. I would say it ranks up there with the orange Adidas and Nike Romolos.

Has there been any indication on price points for the Fastlift? Soon to be in the market for lifting shoes and can't abide metcon shoe switching and not crazy about adidas price points or Reebok widths.

The more on the market the better. I hopefully won't have to buy another pair of lifting shoes for a long time. There were really only 3 choices, the ones mentioned in the article, and I got the Reebok Olys because they were on sale for $109 at Finish line in a couple of colors.

I haven't seen any prices listed anywhere. I'd assume that they would rival the Romaleos...... I love my INOV Bare X180s and 230s, so I am willing to buy the new lifting shoes as I need some.

If I see anything, I'll update everyone.

Michael

I was at the South East regional's and Inov8 was there, they showcase the lifting shoes; retail price will be $150 and released date is in June. Is what the representative said

Re: INOV8 lifting shoe

Having handled this shoe at the Canada East regional my thoughts were it seems well made and designed. Its definitely more like the Reebok Oly in function, in that the shoe body is not nearly as stiff and supportive as the Romaleos.

Re: INOV8 lifting shoe

I saw and played with these shoes at the Mid-Atlantic regionals this past weekend. unfortunately, they only had a smaller sample shoe, so I couldn't wear it/try it on. However I did spend a good amount of time manipulating it and examining it.
I do NOT agree with the above posters that this shoe will be a rival to the Nike Romaleos or Adidas adistar (or whatever the name is). both the Nike and Adidas shoes are suited specifically to weightlifting.
In my opinion, these new shoes from INOV8 are designed to compete directly with the Reebok lifting shoe.
they are super light (lightest on the market), and the toe box is quite flexible.
I was told by the rep at their booth that they will be available in July and can be ordered through Rogue. they will also be available at their booth at the Games this year. I will definitely try them on at the Games.
