Training your client online

anyone has experience training your client online? either using some kinda fitness program software or joining some "online PT program" sites and stuff?

i think a blog and a simple home page is not enough, but not too sure what works the best. love to know, thanks alot!

i had access to pt on the net when i used to be a globo-gym trainer, and in my opinion, it's useless. i believe that it is in association with the NASM and again just my opinion, but i think their "periodization" model is terrible.

Re: Training your client online

what about workouts for you... or something like tat... coz i've seen couple of sites using the very similar business model, like hiring PT at the back end and getting clients on their site to talk to their PT and pick exercise from their video library... then follow up with their progress and stuff...

not sure whether stuff like this works well... or whether i will do well by being hired by some of these sites...

Re: Training your client online

I know a guy who makes his living running cycling classes via the net for trihards. He hooks up a webcam and runs a class from his office on a staionary trainer. Its been done. I think it would depend on each of the clients motivations though. After all, how many of us have considered dodging a rep from the WOD when someones not there pushing you or keeping you honest. ....sorry coach....

Re: Training your client online

Correction to something I previously stated....he does not make his living traing triathletes online....rather...training them in general....and the cycling part is a class he runs....sorry!
