Through some research I found a local place that delivers 100% grass-fed, free range beef from farms less than 2 hours away from the city I live in. I actually met and talked to the guy that runs several of the ranches and is in charge of deliveries to this area.

Anyway, I started out with a couple of pounds of ground beef (90% lean). Took it home and right off the bat noticed how different it smells! It made regular hamburger meat smell "funky". It actually smelled good raw.

So I threw them on low heat on the grill and several min. later sat down to dig in. The verdict? Holy crap I had NO IDEA what we were missing! I will NEVER eat any type of "regular" meat again. I don't care how much more expensive this stuff is....IT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY. My wife was also surprised by the taste.

David - I totally agree with you! I tasted grass fed beef last year. It's difficult to eat "regular" beef...I'll do an in-n-out burger on occasion. Other than than that I don't eat restaurant beef unless it's grass-fed. Not worth it. You MUST try a grass-fed beef filet...rare. It's amazing!

Any cooking suggestions for someone without a grill? I found a place less than an hour from my house and I am planning a visit in a couple of weeks to try some different cuts out. I hate the idea of pan frying or even broiling a steak but until I get a grill what options do I have?
