![]() lol, i know it's not a big deal, but i figure this is sort of what people use as a benchmark wod, so i wanted to give it a go. hopefully i won't do too horrible...will post a video of it afterwards. the plan is to do it, then go on maybe a 30 min. road bike ride, then practice double unders. we'll see how i feel about that once it's over, ha.

Thrusters need a lot of work. You need to stand up fully and the bar needs to drive back behind your ears with completely locked elbows for the rep to count. I understand the first try, but you seem relatively got already, so range of motion is paramount before you try for speed.

Thanks for the honest comments. Yeah, at first when I watched it I was thinking wow, it sure felt like I was going higher w/ my barbell push than that! lol. Time to go back for something to work on

If you just lock your arms out every rep, you shouldnt have to think at all about how high you push. That seems pretty simple.

You'd be surprised at how much it will help you to be a member of a quality box with a coach helping you, particularly as your learn the movements. Even thrusters, a relatively simple movement, take some work to learn. The olympic lifts, particularly the snatch, are much more complex and learning them won't come easy without someone helping you.
