Men's Rogue Bar Question

We recently upgraded our rack to the R3 (AMAZING) and purchased a Men's Rogue Bar. Everything arrived last week in great shape. However, as you'll see from the picture, our bar (shown on the right; bar on left is a Troy Econ) looks different than the bar shown on Rogues website here:

http://www.roguefitness.com/the-rogue-bar.php

In looking at the width of the base of the sleeve, the bar we received seems to more resemble the Bella bar here:

Has Rogue simply changed the workings of the Men's bar and has yet to update the pics on their site, or did we happen to receive a different bar? I've emailed Rogue, but figured I'd throw it out here in case anyone else has run into the same question.

Re: Men's Rogue Bar Question

Are you talking about the sleeve collars? They made the change to allow more room for weight on the bar. Bill posted about it a little while ago. If you're referring to the diameter of the shaft, you can always measure it to verify.

Re: Men's Rogue Bar Question

I just got a rogue bar in this week and it had the skinnier collars on it too. Great bar! Absolutely love it!

Re: Men's Rogue Bar Question

Yes I was talking about the sleeve collars. Bill emailed me this Morning and told me of the change to their collars. Thanks.

Re: Men's Rogue Bar Question

It pains me to see it sitting beside a Troy bar. Two very different bars.

We rebuilt the guts in our bar a while back to make the sleeves more robust. This added internal weight hence thinner collars. This also allows for more weight on the sleeve.

Re: Men's Rogue Bar Question

Well since that's settled and so I don't have to start a new thread I have a question for Bill.

How many Econ 45lb bumpers can you fit on a bar?

Thanks.

Agreed. I'm working on getting our gym 100% Rogue...we're about 90% of the way there. Will post updated pics of the R3/Sled/Rope Climb/etc later today.
