Its still feeling slightly weird, but MUCH better Nik. I'm going to do a workout today. Either the 5 rounder with runs, MUs, hspus, L-sits or the regional with lighter OHSs.

Cool, test out those OHS really well( like you need me telling you that)

Brady posted my deadlift max effort with the ''knee shake'' it is side ways right now but should be fixed soon. Have a look.

Re: Jesse Emers- Get Beast

Threerounds for time of:
Run 200 meters
7 Muscle-ups (strict)
Run 200 meters
7 Handstand push-ups
Run 200 meters
30 second L-sit hold
Run 200 meters
20 Squats
= 22:24

*Decided to take it easy for another day. Didn't want to irritate the back with too much volume or pistols. Back is steadily getting better and should be doing the regional workout tomorrow.

Nice work, That took me forever. MUs got hard for me. I hope the back is great today. I felt the pistols in my back after that one.

Yeah pistols can be really back intensive, thats why I avoided them, I've had previous back issues from doing them at high rep with bad form.

Good work. Hope you are feeling better. That's a tough workout and a little more advanced than I am at this point.

Thanks Dustin, my back is getting much better and I just did my first full intensity workout since I injured it. That workout that you are talking about was definitely skill based. It replaced movements from a running workout in the previous cycle:

pullups-MUs
pushups-hspus
situps-Lsits
squats-pistols

2010 Northwest Regional Event 1 (single arm modified)

Three rounds for time of:
60lb Left Arm OHS, 10 reps
60lb Right Arm OHS, 10 reps
50 Double-unders (heavy rope)
= 7:19

*Back is feeling good.

Re: Jesse Emers- Get Beast

GLAD to hear it on the back! Be sure to drink enough fluids.

Man the workout messed me up this time, Shoulder fatigure big time for me from the MU, HSPUs the day befor, heck the pistols had mt back a bit off to.

That reminde me. I think it is cool that they get top crossfitter to demo our workouts, but I'd like to see them do a cycle and see how it worksd out for the. I'd like to see the same persons to a 3day cycle and see if they get the same break down I get by the end of some of these cycles.

I saw that on your log Nik but you shouldn't let it bother you in the least bit. That is just part of CF training. I think thats a great idea to have the top crossfitters do whole cycles in the videos and talk about fatigue issues from previous workouts. However, I'm sure Rich Froning still would have gotten sub 3min or very close to it. The top guys are pretty amazing on what they can handle and keep going (considering the volume at the CF games).
