A little help pls.

I am currently in the Navy active duty. I am stationed onboard a ship. I have recently started a zone diet. I have figured out im 5 5 1 5 1. Im having a hard time right now getting the right portions. I mostly east breakfast and lunch onboard and that mostly consists of hardly ever having ideal foods. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can make this a little easier? Maybe keep a couple cans of tuna onboard? For breakfast I mostly eat, egg substitute and a couple apples and almonds. Is this a ok meal? Any help will be well appreciated. Thanks.

Re: A little help pls.

Look into "IF" if Zone is not doable....both can work...as it still comes down to total calories (assuming you are trying to lose weight).

Michael -
What ship are you on? Have they transitioned to the new menu (pre-packaged, baked, fixed portions, etc.) I'm heading back to sea duty (5th ship) next year and I'm interested in how the menu changes will impact staying on Zone. Thanks.
Scott

Re: A little help pls.

I know there was a similar thread awhile back for someone who was in Iraq.
Try these and see if they help:

Re: A little help pls.

I will have to look into IF, since I am not to familiar with it. As for the menu on board my ship.. is quite terrible. We have so many starches and fatty meats. We do not have enough lean meats and green vegetables.
I have one more question if anyone could answer it for me. Is it acceptable to eat a zone diet as 5 5 5 1 1? What would be the timing between snacks? If anyone has any input it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
