4" Belt for Olympic Lifts

Anyone out there doing cleans/snatches with a 4" belt?

The couple times I've tried with mine I've whacked the belt with the bar. Seems like something I'd have to train around.

Not sure if its worth the time spent altering my bar path instead of just buying a smaller belt.

Re: 4" Belt for Olympic Lifts

I use a 4" belt, but I use a nylon/velcro belt with a thinner profile.

Personally, I use the Harbinger belt, and just for clean & jerk and squats.

Just out of curiosity, why do you feel the need for a belt?

You might need a partner to make this happen, but you could try wearing it so the buckle is behind you instead of in front?
