I'd think the just thing to do is to count the number of good DLs that JB did instead and have that, up to 55, as his score, and if that came to 55, then plus the number of reps done (wall-balls + rowing) after the 55 *good* deadlifts. As he didn't do 55 good deadlifts in the 1st round JB's score would be at most 55 plus however many wall-balls and rowing calories he did in the *second* round. Sends a message that movement standards are important.

This sort of thing that was done does give ammunition to the people who say CF is not a sport.

I don't think the rules don't allow that. It's either a minor penalty, major penalty, or disqualifying the workout all together.

Yep, that's how they have always done Ro vs. Boz. The athletes that did the announcement workout will stay and judge Ro and Boz.

Does Bridges have some condition where he can't reach full extension with his left arm? On his 16.5 video I didn't see any of the thruster reps that looked "good". I do see that they used a much better camera angle on this one though.

well the open is done. I hope that everyone learned something and took away only positives and a list of to work on's.

True test of fitness although the final workout was kind of a yawn with those three people doing it for the announcement.

I was expecting fire works but after the anti climatic announcement I felt settled that I had a mark from 2 years previous that I could improve on.

Almost 2 min faster feeling good about that or feeling last time was super slow. Got 57th place that year and that time might be in the top 150 this year. The bar has been raised for sure.

Rich lost the announcement workout to Mat Fraser, but the leaderboard shows that Rich redid the workout and came out ahead of Mat on this workout.

Annie Thorisdottir was just 50 seconds or so behind Kara Webb, but what a huge difference that makes on leaderboard placement.

I was also looking at some placement by region. Camille Leblanc-Bazinet scored 7 points in the Open in the Southwest region. She either got 1st or 2nd on every workout. Holy crap! Good luck beating her at Regionals!

I have to admit those were pretty easy to predict. You cannot bet against Josh or Sam on that one.

I will wait on what the regionals events are and maybe i will slot in some predictions coming out of Regionals, that would be fun.

Noah ohlsen as well in the South East. I want what they're having down there. Damn!
